Chief Executive Officer
Adrian Shatku is an industry pioneer in IP services and technologies. He was an early believer in the power of the Internet to transform global telecommunications and quickly established UNIFI as one of the first providers of toll-quality VoIP services. He has over 15 years of experience in the telecommunications industry and under his Team UNIFI has become one of the world's largest international IP Based networks for Internet telephony.
Before founding UNIFI, he served at MCI (now Verizon Business), where he was in charge of strategic national and international accounts. Previously, he held several business development, and operations positions at leading carriers and network equipment vendors. Mr Shatku completed his post Graduate studies at Harvard Business School.
With over 35 years in the telecom industry, Mr. Walker has extensive entrepreneurial and managerial experience in multiple sectors including international voice and data services, development of submarine and terrestrial fiber optic networks, and satellite communications, with both established carriers and new start-up businesses. Most recently, he was EVP-Corporate Strategy and Law for Comsat International (now part of BT).
Project experience includes Comsat fiber/satellite network in Central and South America, Australia-Japan and China-US submarine cables, TEN terrestrial fiber network project in Russia and Sprint nationwide packet network in Russia.
Director of Operations
Mr. Kalinin provides the direction to the worldwide network operations to ensure timely and quality delivery of UNIFI services and world-class customer support. Mr. Kalinin has more than 11 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Before joining UNIFI, he worked at Infospan Consulting where he designed, installed and managed VoIP networks as well as providing expertise in building up NOC infrastructure.
VP Business Development
With over 18 years in the undersea cable industry, Mr. Crawford has worked directly on over 20 different successful undersea and terrestrial telecommunications network projects worldwide, gaining experience in all aspects of network design, planning, construction, operations, maintenance, and retirement. He formerly served in various senior positions with AT&T Submarine Systems (now TE SubCom), AT&T Communications, Pacific Gateway Exchange, and New World Network (now Columbus Networks). He brings a broad range of network and business development expertise to UNIFI.
Senior Vice President
With 6 years experience in the telecom industry, specializing in carrier settlements, collections, forecasting, budgeting, and credit analysis, Mr. Shatku brings valuable expertise to UNIFI. As result of rigorous oversight, Mr. Shatku has helped to almost eliminate bad debt to the company in a risky and volatile industry.
Mr. Shatku holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance & Investment, and a Political Science minor from Bernard Baruch College, New York.
